Tomorrow is 1 month....

since our first kiss at lunch and our first time together later that evening ;-)

I want to do something cute/special/sentimental for him but I don't want to make a BIG deal about it.

We are going to the same place for lunch that we went that day - I thought about trying to snag the same table - and of course a kiss in the car afterwards ;-)

I got him a silly card for v-day and thought I'd give it to him tomorrow at lunch - I can't bring it in to work and I don't know if I'll see him on friday.

Got any other ideas? I don't expect to do something every month, but the first month has been so special and wonderful that I want him to know how much it's meant to me.

thanks,

Do you remember what you said? What you wore? Go the whole nine yards and recreate it as much as you can. I'll bet he plays along. What fun! Have a wonderful time.

I do remember what I was wearing - but I didn't wear it today - I wore a shirt that he really likes - I wore it last week and he said "I like that you wore my shirt today"! So I wore that one. I just sent him an email telling him how much I've enjoyed our time together the past month. I have a feeling he doesn't want to get too mushy, so I am trying to keep it "cutsie" instead of emotional. It's a hard thing to do though!!!

Thanks,

Good luck today! I've been with my MM 14 months and we still celebrate our monthly anniversary and hope we never stop because that's the day my world got 100% better. I sometimes write him a little poem or buy him a CD (of a song that means something special to us) or send him an ecard. After 25 years of his MM his W takes his wonderfulness for granted and he enjoys be paid attention to, stroked (ego and body!), and complimented (who wouldn't!).

Have fun!

well, his reply to my email was "did you watch oc last night and are we still on for lunch". grrrr, I know he said he didn't feel comfortable saying "sweet nothings" to me since we aren't a "couple" but geez - at least say "I agree" or something when I say I've enjoyed the past month.

I keep thinking I am going to tell him that I'm going to stop this whole thing if he can't even say 1 nice thing to me - even - I like your hair, shirt, eyes, whatever - but then when we are together I just melt and he looks at me and it's like I can read it all over his face - but sometimes the words would be nice too.

well - shoot - he just walked by with one of his smiles and now I feel all better again...

*sigh* I can't wait until lunch.

Well......you DID say he mentioned something about the blouse you wore the other day and that he liked that! :).....Men are strange....haven't you figured that out yet!?!?!? LOL! My advise is not to go too overboard with looking for compliments. Continue to give them and be sweet and attentive (if that's your style which it sounds like it is) and if he's into you, maybe he'll loosen up. As excited as we are to find someone, men have a hard time dealing with emotions and don't like to show too many! Remember, he did just give you a "special smile" and sometimes a smile is worth a thousand words!
