I thank everyone who posted here -- and to those who think I never listened to what they said, they were wrong. I appreciate and treasure every post.

My crazy behavior? Well, OW told me it was over 2 months ago. A week and a half later, after seeing me again for 5 minutes she wanted the A back stronger than ever.

In fact, she broke it off twice, and so did I -- and each time she resumed stronger than ever!

So, you see, I thought appearing at her door would again win her back.

The thing I DONT understand is -- I KNOW the relationship is based on 'fantasy' -- I want to stay with my wife -- but the allure of someone 17 years younger than me wanting to start a life with me, loving me, finding me attractive, was so so strong. AND THAT'S what I'm trying to get over.

Completely understandable...problem is..no matter who did what when....the relationship sounds "toxic" for both of you and it's probably better to just walk away.

I've never responded to your posts, but I have read most of them and there is no need to apologize!

I remember a few ladies suggesting counseling for you; I think that is a good idea. The fact that you can acknowledge what the A was all about is an important step towards getting past this...let a professional help you out as well! It certainly can't hurt.

Wish you luck,

Charlotte

Tony,

Today my MM and I had a talk about a mans point of view about the ending of an affair.

Although this is my first A, I really can relate to how hard it would be to face the end.. as long as you have learned from your exoerience that is what matters in the long run... good luck!
