I received an e-mail in our joint Outlook Express inbox this evening, everything I posted on "another site" MSN to be exact was posted and directed to my H. Well, it's gone now. you see all the sponsered links? well, you need to go to "Rules" in your Outlook Express and have anything that tries to come in there deleted before it enters. Some of the info was true, but the rest was not. Just be very careful saying any specifics. The e-mail came from a company called Stealth.

Sorry Snook but most ISPs provide dynamic IPs when you log on, when you disconnect that IP can be provided to anyone anyplace in there network.

Scarleta would have to crack into the ISPs billing records or something of that nature to get your home address or any personal info, a criminal offense.

Most software can be obtained as demo software for short periods of time.

This spyware is known to have problems getting accurate info from web based mail at this point in time, but that won't last long.

You best be careful. Stealth is a spy program your husband might have installed to trace things you've typed, websites visited, etc. In this case he might know everything!! caution!! do a search typing in Stealth, and see what info. you come up with. I saw an ad like this once for it on the internet, and i think it's spy software that's hidden in the computer. If everything you typed from MSN is there, it sounds like it to me. Be careful!!!

For your information, Scarleta didn't have to "crack into" ANY billing records, all they needed was an IP, you can type that into a website(which I'm sure you know") and it comes up with the area the ISP is from. If they know your last name, which leads me to narrow down to whom this person/persons are, they can search ANY people search and come up with a close proximity of where the person lives. OK??? So then they retransmited the info from here and the MESSAGE FORUM (MSN) and copied and pasted the info and sent it out. ONLY thing is it is expressly prohibited in retransmitting, copying, etc in ivillages TOS, but I doubt the culprets are using the same screen name they previously had been using! ALSO, using the US Potal service for such activity is a FEDERAL OFFENSE. BUT, my guess is it was a member of here and the MSN room. Scarleta could have very easily become a member of the particular MSN room and therefore find all the info they wanted.

Much of what is posted in here and other message forums are "RED HERRINGS" also, to "DRAW OUT" information. How does anyone know what is truth,or fantasy? Ever wonder why some posters only post once or twice, then disappear? Or, they use another name and answer themselves? OR, better yet, slam themselves under another screen name?

snookums, I was laughing my a** of when I read that your H was the one who installed anti-spyware on your PC at home. Mine did that too, because he was the one that figured out there were all kinds of funny programs in our PC, that he did not care about.. LOL I even asked him ouright if he was cheating and why he was installing such stuff on the puter. You are right about Scarleta and MSN groups though!

I wanted to add if you had a cheating H, I am sorry about that. Didn't want to come off as insensitive.

HI Snookums

The question I would be asking next is how would they get your last name, I am sure you would never post it,and when setting up secret e-mail accounts you would never give your real name right.

If your in a small town mybe they could get a list of the ISPs customers but would still have problems narrowing it down to a few possable persons (I presume you never give out your zip code).

I am in a very large city and there is no way to you would have any hope of tracking me down by ISPs.

From what you said your husband is computer smart and could have set you up, but if he had he has had more then enough time to spring the trap if he is ready for a confrontation with you.
