Your post sounds like you two have nothing between you yet save children who play together. With that understanding, I will offer that he finds you attractive and fun but is not about to jeopardize anything with wife by being flirtatious in her or your H's presence. Accept it for what it is...a male who appreciates a fine woman and nothing more. He's not looking for an affair.

I don't mean to be harsh, but.....Yep, you're right - it is all in your head. This guy is not interested in an affair with you. He is not flirting with you. He's being a friendly neighbour and nothing more. The glances and nervous looks are because he's worried that you're trying to come on to him and he's not interested. And that's why he was ready to leave after 45 minutes and upped and left abruptly when caught almost alone with you, save for your children, in the bedroom. No doubt your behaviour is making him feel very uncomfortable.

The only one with a fantasy here is you. Leave the guy alone and stop trying to attract his attention.

Thanks for your responses, but I haven't done anything to come on to him. he's outside alone a lot and I never approach him. I've spoken to him 2x in my life! Once was alone, and once at my house WITH the wife, my H and kids. The neighbors have said he's "one weird dude." My H thinks he's checking me out. . . .

I'm trying to figure out if I am sending signals. I may look at him a lot, wave and smile, but isn't that being a friendly neighbor, too?
