What a way to start the week

So after a fight with my W last night, I woke up this morning angry. I got around and got my son in the car and we headed off. On the way to work, I noticed a police officer had pulled someone over. As I glanced over, I failed to notice traffic was stopped right in front of me. I slammed into the vehicle in front of me and my airbags deployed. My son and I and the people in the other car were all fine. The other vehicle had minor damage. But mine has probably upwards of $10,000 damage. My insurance will cover it and I won't be dropped, but my rates will probably go up $20 per month. Not to mention I was just about ready to buy out of my lease early. I literally had the loan papers with me. Now I have no idea what will happen. But I suppose the important thing is everyone was okay. I'm still a little shaken. My whole body feels sore and I have a headache. Anyway, I guess that is enough whining for today. It just was not how I wanted to start the week. Hope you all had a better Monday morning.

Wow Omaha! How scary! I am so glad that you and your son and everyone involved is OK. I'm sure you'll be feeling pretty shaken up for the next few days. Just try to take it easy and do what you can to take care of you. I hope that you feel better soon!

I was reading your post and you mentioned, " I noticed a police officer had someone pulled over," and I thought 'oh, crap, he rear ended someone.'

I guess when you've done that yourself, you see it coming... though it sounds like your damage makes mine pretty insignificant.

Sorry to hear about your crash, but really glad to hear everyone was ok. As for the loan papers, maybe you can still do that; insurance can pick up the repairs except deductible and you might be able to get the extra $500 or whatever your deductible is tacked on the loan or something.

LOL... I'm still such a guy. Made me automatically go, "Good they're safe. Wonder what kind of car he has."

Take care, man. Sorry to hear your Monday has started out so lousy.

I am glad that you and your son aren't hurt......as well as the other people. I have had a few close calls lately and usually have at least one child with me and afterwards I try to remind myself to pay more attention.........BUT THE IMPORTANT THING HERE IS THAT ALL OF YOU ARE OK.

Now, go out and make it a better Monday.. ((((Hugs)))) to you.

Wow Omaha, it kind of gives a typical Monday a new meaning. Sorry to hear about the car, all will work out, but I am glad you and your son are unharmed. When I ready that you glanced over and saw someone pulled over I though, oh *hit, he got in one of the OPD's speed traps where there have several people pulled over. That happened to me recently on the Storz Expressway. Someone please explain to me how we call something an expressway and the speed limit is 45?? It doesn't take much to do 10K in damage. I rearended someone in January in a drs office parking lot..I was checking out the drs vehicles and oops, the lady in front of me was stopped at the stop sign leaving the parking lot....bang. It didn't damage my car but did 2K to hers. Sounds like your probably going to get a new ride perhaps. Take care and take some motrin at least 3 and grab a nap. Tomorrow will be a better day.
