What is your definition of LOVE

When I told MM that I loved him, and he returned with I love you too. I assumed that love meant the same thing to him, as it did to me.
I believe when you commit to saying I love you, that means you are ready to put that person first and foremost in your life. That you are willing to sacrifice for them, at all cost. That you are willing to put Love into action, and that it is not just a word. I take it serious, and those are not words to play with. Unfortunate for me MM did not feel the same way.

When I tell MM I love him, it means I love him unconditionally for who and what he is today, including his goals and dreams for tomorrow - his whole self, mind and body. It means I love myself first - otherwise I don't think I could love him unconditionally - and because I love myself and require a balanced life, I know he does too - I love him and want him to be happy in his home life and with other relationships, in pursuit of his own pleasure, and fullfilled in his career. Love means respect, admiration, sharing, empathy, trust, and lots and lots of other things (including, of course, the wild sex!).
I think you will find by reading the responses here that there is no one definition of love - perhaps your MM loves you differently, not necessarily the way you want him to love you.
Sending you some sunshine,
