Off Topic as this isn't really an A situation, but I'm curious what you all think.

I wouldn't necessarily agree that FWB don't have the emotions or sharing; many of them do.

FWB -- A friend whose entire purpose is to provide sex with no obligation whatsoever.

GF -- One with whom he shares emotions, feelings, sex and a possible future.

Everyone's definitions are different, so it's hard to say.

I agree with Another. I've always said that "friends with benefits" uses the word "friend" first. How do we all feel about our friends? One can't say that there are no feelings or emotion in our friendships. We usually love our friends, and we do share things with them! The "with benefits" part means that we have sex with a FWB, so it's more than "just" friendship. But because there is no plan to be together in a real relationship, I would use "FWB".

That's how I've always defined my R with my OM, even though there is a lot of emotion and sharing in the relationship.
