I believe the best thing to do is to talk to him.

I can totally understand where your coming from when you talk about having the baby alone. See my AP had left his wife, but due to several things that I did he went back to her. A week later I found out that I was pregnant. I told him it was his child, and he told me no way because he had had a vasectomy which I didn't know about. So here I am pregnant w/ a baby that has no father.
When I went into the hospital to have my c-section he didn't show. I had no one, so the hospital sent me a duola I am not sure if that's spelled right, but it's a woman that plays the role of birth coach, and offers total support, and they are volunteers. Mine was great. She was very caring, and nice. She rubbed my back, and said soothing things, but she wasn't the father of my baby. I went through the humiliation of having to put "Father not Stated" on my son's birth registration. It was just a lonely, sad, but happy time.
Well it took until my son was 15 months old to do get the DNA test results. Thank God for DNA.
Now AP and I are back together, After 7 yrs I still hold a little resentment towards him for not believing me, but I kind understand his point too.
I hope that you can work this out so that your child can have both parents, but you have to do what you have to do.
