I started a discussion on "All Side of an Affair" and would appreciate any imput you may have to offer as being "The Other Woman" and why you think affairs have become more proliterate. I am not condeming affairs, or condoning marriages/or vice versa as I have BTDT with both. I would just like to see another diminsion because as of now, my post is being attacked unmercifully by the marrieds :)

wouldn't matter - no one understands the feelings involved in an EMA except

those very same people who are involved in one -

that is why I come here ----

Hello Madam: I haven't seen your all sides of an affair discussion, but I would be happy to try and answer any questions you have. I believe you are asking why affairs are more proliferate or on the increase. I'm not so sure they are on the rise, but that affairs are more out in the open in today's society than they were years ago. However, having said that, I also believe opportunity plays a large role as the majority of A's start in the workplace (which is where mine began). Obviously there are more women in the workforce today than there were 20-30 years ago.

I believe our lifestyle in today's world runs at such a hectic pace that our emotional needs aren't being met on the homefront. By the time most folks get home from work everyday, they're too tired to interact. The work environment provides a common ground where people meet who have something in common albeit with the job. We get up everyday and for the most part fix ourselves up to look our best, then spend 40+ hours a week together. Add in the bonding that occurs between two people who can relate to each others lives and everyday problems, a handful of marital problems on the homefront, plus some good old fashioned male/female chemistry and you know the rest.

I don't mean to sound glib about it, because everyone makes choices. Myself, I was at a very weak point in my life and made a wrong choice. I never thought in a million years that I would become involved in an EMA, and criticized those who have done it. As they say, never say never....
