As a man, I find all of those woman-to-man phrases that end in 'up,' with the intent to be more manly, funny - suck it up, man up, buck up... you name it.

If a man can't laugh at his occasional moments of weakness, he's just too serious about his manhood. JMHO.

Speaking of which, you know a good friend by their ability to show up when you need them the most.

A woman that I worked with several years ago and had a 6 week emotional affair with, just broke things off with her long time bf. She started a new fb acct. using her maiden name and asked to add me yesterday

Your logic is sound, grasshopper.. And no matter how mutual the breakup. No matter how correct the decision, there is something healing about knowing you've got "options" in the personal regard. Even if you never choose to exercise them. Even if you never WOULD choose that option, it's still "good to know." You're on your way.

I am a firm believer that actions alter brain chemistry and neuro pathways, especially actions which are motivated by strong emotions... Sex being a prime example. Once altered, you are battling biological determinants which may well override future desires (say to 'go back').

So basically, I like my brain the way it works now and don't want to risk an alteration in the wrong direction.

You're right, I missed that post on the bottom of page 6.

Mir, you little devil's advocate you!

I'm predicting my gf will have a break down of sorts by the end of this week.

New development, she's 5 days late for her period and I have never seen her more than 2 in the past.
