...I am a baby...a big baby...huge baby...I had my wisdom teeth pulled (pulled, not cut) in September and it was brutal...if my skin sags to my toes, so be it...

For many people men and women how they look is part of their sexuality.

>>n either case, I had considered these procedures several years ago, before the back injury and the heart attack. This was when I was still rather bound up in the idea that if I could afford to fight gravity and aging that I should. <<

I'm not entirely against fighting aging and gravity, but I feel like if you are going to go through 6-12 weeks of potentially painful recovery it ought to be for something you feel pretty emotionally invested in.

I've had a little work done, and had some that I wanted done that I decided against (not enough money at the time) and don't regret either decision now. I DO have some facework I'm considering, but again money constraints are stopping me. Someday, perhaps they won't and I'll go ahead, but it is because I feel strongly about it, not because anyone else has suggested I might want to.

From what I understand recovery is about 12 weeks, with many back to work ect in six.

subconcious body issues

If true, and if it was affecting LL, and if you wanted to do anything about it.

>>would consider having them because it would improve my physical apppearance beyond anything excercise could do, but I'm not emotionally bound up in "looking better". <<

If you don't have an emotional stake in it, I don't think the surgery would be all that worthwhile based on what I have heard the recovery and pain issues are.

I suppose that DH could hold the belief that I might have subconcious body issues that might be part of what's driving my lower libido.

If you don't have body issues, then I fail to see what your DH was driving at. I'd have smacked him and told him if he wants perkier breasts he can go on out the door and find them! Definitely NOT worth the pain and risk for that.

Oh and the sensitivity differences aren't always a LOSS of sensitivity. In some cases there is an increase, which is another reason why I would never go down that road! The last thing I need is for them to be MORE sensitive, uck!

Yes, before that surgery option is taken I recommend a week in Jamaica at a nude resort. Seriously, it made me feel like a million bucks, even though I am fat and middle aged. I can't explain it exactly, it was just the overall acceptance of all women as beautiful beings, and the learning to be comfortable in my own skin regardless. It was a total revelation for me, and I am overdue for a refresher!
