Premenopausal symptoms?

Recently while trying to have sex, even when highly interested, my body is not responding. At first I attributed it to my weight gain and unhappiness with present body. I noticed that my period has been lasting only two days and wonder if this lack of sexual response could be associated with this change. Perhaps it is perimenopause? My husband is awesome and in a matter of months I went from a couple O's an episode and alone in my sleep to none. Sex has never been top priority, but to have none at 43 is not acceptable. Does anyone have any information on this?

You might want to see your gynechologist to discuss this if you are noticing cycle changes in your body. They can do testing on hormone levels and such and give you an idea what changes may be happening to your body. My wife is in her early fifties and she's been in some stage of menopause for the last 8 years or so.

"Sex has never been top priority, but to have none at 43 is not acceptable. "

You'll have to learn to change you mindset on this. No reason why you can't have sex long into old age. Hopefully you're not basing the reason for having it just by the number of orgasms you've been having or how horny you are. You might need to use lubricates more often as you may want sex but your body might not produce enough lubrication or give yourself a push to get started more often because the general horniness levels have lowered.

You might want to do some research on sex and aging to see possible ways to adapt to changes in an aging body. As for no orgasm, it might just be something temporary.
