This ship is sinking fast and I've jumped overboard.  If anyone wants me for anything, PM, because that will ping my email.

I'm out.

Rather cryptic don't you think?

Same here. This place has become intolerable, borderline nonsensical. If the functional issues weren't enough, the performance is downright dial-up in nature.

For a second there I thought  you meant you were finally leaving your h.

I was about to thank heavens that you've finally come to your senses.

Then I realised you were leaving ivillage.

D**(.

Good luck to you...

Hi all,

I know it has been frustrating, and with the help we have had with everyone letting us know exactly what issues they are facing we are able to let the tech team know.

Can you pm me or email me at relationshipscm@mail.ivillage.com and vent to me, but also give me specifics?

Thanks

What is there to say? The list of problems is so lengthy, it ruins the entire experience. Which pushes away users, which makes it less worth showing up to check if the technology has been fixed.

Whoever made the business decision to bring the IT in house made a collosal blunder, as internal IT was simply not up to the task. Would love to see the overall statistics as to forum usage since the conversion. Response time is slow. Doesn't work on phones or tablets. Doesn't thread well. Much data from old posts was lost. Cannot easily see list of all my own posts. Cannot easily see lists of another person's posts. Search doesn't find old posts with unique verbiage (likely because of all the data corruption).

We get it. Forums on serious topics don't fit in with the site's current mission. That is management's choice. But if you treat us like we don't matter (or at least make changes with little regard for the potential impact on us), don't be shocked that we don't feel valued. And people who don't feel valued don't stick around.

When you see it coming, duck!

Holdingotoit,

Thank you for letting us know how this is affecting you and others. We are hoping that the issues with phones and tablets will work soon for everyone. I know many are able to connect with their phones, so that is a bit of good news.

We do value all of you and how much you help others.

today, I was having issues signing in on IE... not on Firefox. Weird. I read somewhere else that someone was having issues signing in, too. Forgot where that was--another forum, I believe.
