...wow, wow, wow...you had just left the board when I started reading...she might have kept her ring on for the social acceptability of it or perhaps the ring was highly symbolic of it all and she felt it was the "right' thing to do...how has the dating world been treating you?...

Thanks for giving us an update. Isn't it wierd how "progress" doesn't necessarily feel like "triumph"? Just shows that there is not always "happily ever after" when ML rears its head. Best wishes for a happy and satisfying future.

When you see it coming, duck!

I'm wondering if you have any children together, and how often you see them.

To me, the reason she kept the ring on until right after the divorce is simple. Right up to the defining moment in that courtroom, she was married. It's that marital status

>>Hope you get a lot of sex now....because that clearly is the most important thing in life, right?<<

It doesn't matter WHAT it is that makes you miserable, whatever it is, it BECOMES the most important thing in life, because miserable is miserable and it bleeds over into EVERYTHING you do.

I don't "get" why sex is so important to HLs, but I know that it IS, and if anything that was that important to me was messed up, I know I'd be miserable (not that I can think of anything that is all that important to me, but maybe it's just because I am not without anything I NEED that much.)

Anyways, OPguy, thanks for stopping in and giving us an update. I hope that your future brings you peace and fulfillment in a way your past could not.

Hi there,

If you're having trouble with something specific, I'd be glad to try and help with that.

...he doesn't have children...but, I'm sure he appreciates the positive response you gave with the vast knowledge of his situation that you have...

Hi OP! I don't like the new format of the boards either so I'm not here often. I had hoped y'all found a compromise.
