...I don't think you should demand that he own up to issues he doesn't have...maybe he does fear losing his erection...or, maybe he's just not into having sex and he knew that you would think that was weird and you wouldn't be interested in him because of it...what I think you should do is sit him down and tell him that you are going to leave the relationship if he doesn't begin to work with you to fulfill your sexual satisfaction...maybe suggest that you don't require that he be in the mood or that he "preform"...just be a part of your sexual satisfaction with his hand, mouth, toys...whatever (if you find those particular types of sex fulfilling...the real problem may be if you want him to want you and he doesn't...)...pick a date and then leave if things have not changed by that date...

When we briefly discussed the sexual issues, he told me that he has that fear. I am not demanding he fess up. If he's telling me these things

...he may be stuck, but you aren't, right?...."he says"..."he says"..."he says"...pick a date, if your thoughts on the subject don't include "he does" or "he does" or "he does" by that point you might need to consider whether you want to live your life with a man that doesn't want to work with you to help you be the best you that you can be...personally, I want the best out of my husband that he can give so that when we experience a problem, both of us are comfortable in the fact that we have each others best interest at heart...just a thought...

It sounds like you guys are on the opposite ends of the spectrum in regards to needs.
