Is 52 almost 53 the right age for a midlife crisis?

...I don't think you're losing your mind...and, he may not be losing his...but, he does sound extremely unhappy...I'm sorry that you're going through this right now...has he been at home a lot?

yeah he's been home a lot, with the economy, fewer shorter jobs, but enough to pay the bills.

He's at the age where he could be going thru a mid life crisis or andropause. You may want to research both of them.

I would recommend that you do an internet search for depression.

I agree. Sounds to me like depression, and I would know because as they say, takes one to know one!

My sympathy to amom. It is not easy to live with a depressed spouse.

When you see it coming, duck!

I thought depression too

Since you said a few months, I thought SAD, seasonal affective disorder

I get moody during the winter & my Dad has always withdrawn during winter also

Ahhh, those Northern winters!!!
