Maybe he has Body Dysmorphic Disorder (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Body_dysmorphic_disorder) or maybe he's just using it as an excuse for his LL.

What kind of physical ailments is he complaining about?

>>Remember that someone can be in perfect health and suffer from ED in any form so I would stop mentioning the passing a physical with flying colours. As a matter of fact if you are mentioning that to him its likely upsetting to him....<<

This is an excellent point. A general physical from a regular doctor is all good and everything but it's hardly the end all, be all of physical health. I had a 10 lb tumor in my abdomen. I got a bunch of "flying colors" physicals before someone finally noticed something was wrong with me. Then were there three years worth of good physicals I had where they couldn't figure out why I had bone crushing exhaustion, when it turned out my thyroid was failing. Oh, and the Vitamin B12 deficiency that went undetected so long I almost had a psychotic break...that was a good one too.

If someone tells you something is wrong....SOMETHING IS WRONG. I don't give a good rat's azz what the "doctors" say. The doctors lie, or they're stupid, or preoccupied, or some other thing. They are people, they don't know everything. They aren't gods, for chrissakes.

Some great comments above.

I just want to add that it does no one any good to pathologize low libido (and there's the potential to do damage with that view). The sooner we all accept that a person with a low libido is not "broken" and can't be "fixed", the sooner we can all get on with getting on.

And I'm also skeptical of the idea that low self-esteem can cause low libido (as if low libido needed a cause separate from itself). I have extremely low self-esteem and I have a very high libido and I believe there are other LSE/HL men on this board as well. For those who medicate their damaged egos with sex,

There are no ED issues at all.

I also think (and I know not everyone agrees) that ED is often a euphemism for "not getting turned on," especially in younger and truly healthy men. It has become politically correct to view ED as a purely physical condition as it spares affected people's feelings, but I think it often boils down to lack of sexual interest (either in general or in the specific partner/activity). A gay man will likely have "ED" with a number of heterosexual partners, but put him in front of a man who's exactly his type, and the "ED" will morph into an Elongated Dick. (Sorry if crude, couldn't resist.)

I strongly agree!
