Need to vent...again

How is it even possible that a person can be waking you up for sex at 12:30, and heading to emergency room by 2:30? I mean seriously, if he was in that much pain, that it would take him to the emergency room, then how in the heck was he wanting sex two hours before???

To give you all a little insight, he got stung by a bee at dinnertime. At 2:30 am he wasn't having any signs of anaphylaxis, he just swore he was in overwhelming pain, pain that was a 12 on the 1-10 scale. Seriously?????? I don't think the ER nurses took him very seriously either, but he was breathing like he was giving birth, swearing with every movement and just having a conniption. How is it that two hours before this he felt up to having sex? Anyone? Anyone?

I hate to seem bitchy, but it just doesn't make any sense to me, and I'm exhausted at work, AGAIN!

He was just totally overcome by the pain, according to him.

I find it unfathomable that the pain was that severe, when he was happily having sex less than 2 hours before...

It wasn't anything major, as far as sex goes, as far as I can tell.

There wasn't any signs of shock or anaphylaxis as far as I saw, but again, I'm no doctor, right?

I'm glad he's okay and everything, but I HATE to be overtired, and I too often am nowdays.

All joking aside Miranda, keep in mind that for the HL, the endorphin release can be substantial depending on the arousal level and natural endorphins can block pain more effectively than morphine.

I've thought I was too sore down there from the last love-making session to go again and found that, 10 seconds into penetration, I'm just fine after all. Only to find out afterward, I'm doubly sore.

Sometimes I think that being an ultra HL is only

I am assuming that the bee sting occurred well before the sex?

I apparently have almost no endorphins whatsoever. The only time I have experienced anything like that was in life-threatening or super high risk activities...or when having sex with someone new....hmmm

I don't get the endorphin thing from exercise (I've tried and tried, no dice) or from ordinary sex....

Maybe that is why the 2 hour window, I dunno...but why did it take so long to start being painful in the first place? That's what I am really wondering about.

And now, today, after 3 hours in the ER and a shot of steroids, he's running errands, going to the grocery etc, and I am here at work trying not to let my forehead bump into my monitor when I doze off...

Yes, the sting was around 6 pm, the sex was around midnite, and the trip to the ER was around 2:30....

It's the timing of whole damn thing that makes no sense to me.

This has reminded me of a small joke, you lucky chap.

Awesome one mol42.

I also just remembered that bee stings always lead to sexual arousal with me. I keep bees and get stung about once or twice a month and like any other nerve stimulating experience (spanking/tickling/hot/cold/etc.) it enhances my sex drive.

So maybe these two parts of the puzzle are finally linked?
