It might be time for a cardiovascular systems check.

Maybe, he did have heart problems in the past...dragging him to the doctor is half of the battle though :-(

He had had heart problems. He is getting close to 50. Time to get some tests.

Do not mention that anything related to sex is part of the reason you are concerned about his health, unless you want to risk that he will stop having sex for fear that it will lead to another "health lecture".

When you see it coming, duck!

I'm the LL who is working to improve the initimacy, last thing I want him to do is feel inadequate and withdraw from me. If that happened, god forbid, I would be the HL :-(. I just want him to live happy and healthy.

Not that there is anything wrong with being an HL, lol.

Why would you continue to engage in anything sexual knowing that he was having a stomach ache? Not to mention giving oral.. .. not afraid of him breaking wind while you were down there??

He usually doesn't break wind during sex..:smileywink:

All kidding aside, he wanted me to continue with the oral even though he was experiencing a stomach ache.

Dwifey, I was recently under the care of an interventional radiologist for the treatment of uterine fibroids. In his office was a flyer about what you are describing. Here's a link to a page about it, but not as complete as what I read in my Drs office. http://www.endovasculartherapy.com/s1varicocele.htm I would urge you to get your husband to an interventional radiologist! They specialize in correcting problems with arteries and veins with minimally invasive procedures. My DH recently had an angiogram/angioplasty procedure in his groin to help with ED. And according to him it really did help! The interventional radiologist said that hardening and narrowing of the arteries, and collapse of the valves in the veins can both cause a lot of trouble both sexually, and health-wise (increased chance of bloodclot or stroke!!) So I'd ask for a referral and get him in.

Thanks Miranda!

Now for an update-

DH fell off of the wagon, he started smoking again, I just found out yesterday. I'm pissed but I'm not letting it show. He has severe dental problems which are exacerbated by smoking, it's affecting his health.

2 steps forward and nine steps back I guess :-(

I know how frustrated you must be! He can't do it until he's ready!! It took my DH many tries to get here. And I'm not totally certain he's there yet. Today is day 16.

Hang in there...
