We seem to have an abundance of women complaining that their partner is LL.

Simple: It's nothing new, it's always been this way. We just weren't allowed to talk about it in the old days.

How many reasons do you want?

My theory is this- chemicals.

Plastics, additives in food and medications all contribute to this problem. We have young men with erectile dysfunction now, it is going to be a major problem that even viagra and other drugs can't fix in the long run.

Hate to sound dreary, but I'm scared for my DH's sexual health right now -going to make a separate thread. :-(

There aren't any LL men posting on this board and until they do, all we have left to go by are the stories from their frustrated HL wives. Which may misrepresent their position. We have the media and the HL males, we hear them loud and clear "men want sex !!!". Nothing from the other side of the male perspective. But we know they exist, because of the complaints from their wives and the medical field.

We, as a society, are treating this as some bad, ugly secret. I'm sure the LL men feel the same as they lurk in society, fearing that their true selves be discovered.

This is such an interesting topic, and I love that there are folks talking about it. I find it so interesting in fact, that I am currently collecting data for my dissertation on sexual desire and relationships for The Couples Study. If anyone here is interested in contributing to this valuable research (being conducted by researcher at Indiana University in Bloomington at the Center for Sexual Health Promotion), we are currently looking for hetero couples who have been together a minimum of 3 years, currently live together, are not currently pregnant, and don't have children under 1 year of age to participate in an online survey that takes about 20 minutes to complete. If anyone is interested or knows others who may be interested, go to https://www.indiana.edu/~sexstudy/ to initiate participation! My name is Kristen Mark, and I'm a doctoral candidate at IU. If you have any questions, feel free to email me at kpmark@indiana.edu.

DW, are you referring to phthalates, declining sperm counts or what?

I didn't think there was any trend in testosterone level, certainly not to one which would affect libido.

Look forward to your new

I guess I was trying to provoke the last question (somewhat tongue-in-cheek), because you're in

My answer is: all of the above.

More women comfortable enough with their sexuality to admit to themselves they are HL.

More women comfortable enough discussing their sexuality to admit to others they are HL.

More men watching porn and indulging in satisfying solo sex and preferring it to partner sex.

Chemicals in the environment. If menarche is happening at younger and younger ages in girls, what are these chemicals doing to males?

So part of it is "outing" what always was but was never admitted. And part of it is a new spate of factors leading to more LL males.

When you see it coming, duck!
