I'm sort of jealous that your wife agreed to all terms so amicably. Mine is out to mentally/emotionally torture me to the best of her ability and I don't expect it to be over for 3-5 years (lawyer estimate) with our court systems so backed up and laying off personal. I would gladly take the deal you got.

I'm curious what your personal, religious

Yes, I'm sure I have less to lose but I also earn less so maybe it's a wash in the end? Either way, I'm learning not to care about anything she tries/does for the sake of my own sanity... almost there in fact.

As far as just talking, I think I would allow her to volunteer all information regarding sex without you giving any inkling whatsoever of its importance to you. Otherwise, you're right in stating that she can stretch the truth accordingly to what

Maybe someone could dig out the thread listing the signs of an LL partner. It's not scientific but it might provide a little bit of guidance if a sexual test drive is not going to be on the table. But test drive or no, there are no guarantees in life. Maybe the best we can do is to find someone we really like, be as sure of them as we can and go from there. I wish you the very best of luck. Perhaps you'll pop in every now and again to let us know how the dating goes. Bunny

Let me give you a "heads up". Don't worry about "dating" until you financially well off. You are not a kid anymore. The "potential' is gone and they want proof. Remember, do not go "cheap" or she loves me. Be very careful. Today is not the yesterday that you remember.(yes you know that intellectually but emotionally?)
While you are learning to live single this is also the perfect time to get in shape and pay attention to your health.
Men seem prone to this and get in too deep too early. You must learn to be in your skin and alone while making the money back you retirement investments must take precedent.
The "Scarface" dating dictum still rules. (First you get the money, then you get the car, then you get the girl) Today at your age
think first the money, then the car, then the cool apt, then the girl.
I hope you and your soon to be ex had a tax accountant also. There can be pitfalls otherwise that neither had thought of but the IRS will!!!!
The sex thing being important then I strongly suggest becoming a "player". The social and sexual skills will pay of in making better choices and remember a strong Pre-nup. This seems to be your first Rodeo from what you have written.
One warning. You will meet a lot of men who love shared suffering. Avoid them.

Also, what are the odds that you should keep your income under raps as well, at least in the beginning?

Have you seen the movie 'Original Sin?'

Last week we were driving by a house that finally sold after being on the market for a couple of years.

When you see it coming, duck!

Yeah, thought of that one, too, Glenn.
