In the 2 years or so I've been around here, I don't remember Hold ever saying that or anything along those lines either.

I have repeatedly read the opposite; Hold is very concerned about how his children will do if their parents split up.

Right, but this board is for discussing ML, not

...actually, coconut, if Hold did write that and I missed it, it would drastically change the way I respond to him and his views about ML...I probably have a tendency to view Hold very sympathetically...so, that's why I am asking...and, as MST has pointed out, I have a tendency to hijack threads...so, that's why I've started this one...rather than debate Hold with whatever50, I am curious to know if Hold has expressed the sentiments that whatever50 attributed to him...

You want clarification, or you want to bring others in on your side and win an argument on a small side detail.

...I'm asking other regular members of the board if they've read words from Hold that whatever50 has attributed to him...if I wanted to argue, I would still be in the other thread trying to confront whatever50...Hold may have indeed written those words (doesn't care about the effects of his marriage on his children, the resulting damage is their's to deal with)...and, I may have missed them...have you read them?...if so, ok...

I understood your original question. What thread it's on doesn't make any difference.

Coconut, you are obviously NOT a scientist. Those of us here who have science or social science backgrounds know that we must have correct base information in order for our conclusions to be valid. Not our feelings, but our conclusions, and our conclusions and their validity and correctness matter to us, because of the type of people we are. It's okay with us if you don't care, but we have every right to care. If you don't like it or agree, that's okay, but arguing with us isn't going to change it for us. It is part of who we are.

Sorry, but in this case I agree with Coconut. She sensed -- correctly, I believe -- a certain disingenuousness in the post in question. In other words, the poster knows very well that Hold does care about the impact of his marriage on his children and she's aware that every other long-time poster knows this too, but pretends to be genuinely curious about whether she's mistaken in order to elicit agreement and foment discord among other posters (the "let's see you two fight" dynamic). Sorry if I'm being a little harsh, but I've sensed this disingenuousness again and again and occasionally feel the need to call it as I see it.
