Wow...I wonder how long it's going to take for that to go into effect here in Grand Junction, CO. Everything they do in Denver eventually gets adopted here.

You're in GJ?

Yeah, I've lived here all my life. I love it here and I'm sure going to miss it when I move to be close to Kilroy (this long-distance thing sucks!) but we'll be coming back to visit since I have family here. Being able to be so close to the mountains is the best part of living here. There's a lake walking distance from my house and the Grand Mesa is only about an hour's drive. We still have way too many cowboy bars, but now only about half of the people drive slow...the rest drive like crazy people. :)

Denver's got some great stuff to do...Kilroy and I go over for the Rennaissance Fair every year...it's not exactly right in Denver but it's in the general area and it's much bigger and more exciting than the local one here in GJ. Plus we take a couple of days to hit Elitch Gardens/Six Flags, the zoo and the museum...even though Kilroy said that this year he isn't letting me near the big cats or the monkeys...he had to pick me up and drag me out last time. Hey, it's not my fault that monkey and I found each other entertaining. :D And, well, the cats....I can't get enough of them...they're breathtaking. Sooooo....I'm going to have to distract him so he doesn't realise we're heading to the cat and monkey areas. ;)
Hey, nice shades your cat's sporting...did he remember sunscreen? ;)

My mom was in a singing group at the Renaissance Festival for many years in the 80's.

It's horribly expensive...$3 for a drink and there isn't much too it. Most of the time Kilroy and I just take our own provisions. I love the zoo...I love the reptiles, but some of them freak me out a bit. I know, it makes no sense that I can sit with a tiger or leopard and have them practically in my lap (or in the case of the leopard, having her crawl so her entire torso was in my lap), but can't even watch a snake come up to the glass and check me out without major heebie-jeebies. :D We avoid travelling the passes in the winter so I've never seen the Zoo Lights. :(

The timeline for my move isn't really determined. I was going to wait until my daughter graduates high school to avoid an ugly custody fight, but that's another 5 years, so I may be moving alot sooner. Alot depends on finding a job there and getting housing. How long did it take you to get settled in? I'm really nervous because alot of big changes are going on. I'll be going from married to single, moving to a new city...even though I've spent alot of time there visiting my sister since I was a kid...a new job...EEEEK! ;)

Snakes don't scare me, but put a spider in front of me and I will run far, far away lol.

Yes, lots of scary but exciting changes, right?

Spiders...UGH! The only ones I can stand are jumping spiders...I actually think they're cute and won't let anyone kill them.

I'm very fortunate that not only will Kilroy be there, but I have alot of family members there as well...my sister, and her kids all live there too. I think the scariest thing is going from a smaller town to a big city. I like visiting the city, but I have never wanted to live there. But it makes more sense for me to move than for Kilroy to move.

Well, he'll just have to make it up to you.
