Hi there. My name's Emily and this is my first time posting. I'm not really sure if I should even be here because my husband and I have been happily married for 7 years. But I decided after reading about all of your lives, I'd feel like a borderline stalker if I didn't share my own life with you. I only hope I don't begin missing my pilates class - I'm trying to stay healthy these days! I'm 35 years-old (but I usually pass for 29), and I live in New Jersey with my husband and our Jack Russell. No kids yet but I think my husband will be ready soon ;) Any advice you can give to help me move him along?

Hi Emily!

Has it always been understood from the beginning that you two would have children?

Hi Emily - welcome to the board

I'm a 39yo Aussie with a partner of 13 years, two kids aged 7 and 9 and a three legged poodle. Walking is my exercise of choice at present, however I'm suspecting that I may make a return to my long love affair with bellydance. Also have a love of scrapbooking - which is fairly new to Australia.

Anyway, my first question to you is fertility based. As you would be aware, once you reach your mid 30's, your fertility starts to take a huge nosedive. Is your husband aware of the risks he's taking by delaying? If so, how does he respond?

My second question is basically asking why he's not ready. What does he say when you discuss the issue?

Welcome to the board, Emily ~ Lol to your borderline stalking concerns! So that was you I felt staring at me...? LMAO!

A Jack Russell, eh? That ought to keep you busy, they're not exactly low maintenance! I've always loved them, their attitude, their personalities, they always make me smile, but I also know they're just too busy for our lives. We have a Scottie and a Golden Retriever.

What was his thinking on children when you married? What's his thinking now? How do conversations about kids go with him these days?
