HI,

My boyfriend just turned 25 & he confessed that he's slightly worried that he's not as turned on now as he was before. This started before we dated & it's just something that's in his mind. We have slept together & I never noticed any problems, but he thinks he used to get harder & bigger. He thinks that before he would just get an erection a lot faster & harder....any thought would do it. Now when he's watching something on TV that would give him an erection before, he just doesn't get one at all. Basically he's just not as horny as he used to be. I'm sure most of it is just psychological...because he thinks it's a problem. But i've also read it migth be alcohol which he has started drinking more of. He also started wearing boxers instead of his regular boxer-briefs, he's just trying that...Other than that are there any other reasons he might have problems & anyway to get him how he was before. I don't see a problem, but he's worried about it.

Anything would help

he should see a doctor if he's worrying about it.

i knew a guy that had ED at 24...and he drank a lot of alcohol on the weekends...

ED is not a "not as turned on" issue. With ED, the turn on is the same, but they don't achieve erection. If alcohol is a possible cause, he should definitely slow way down on drinking, because if he's drinking that much, there's a lot more to be concerned about than ED -- like alcoholism and liver disease. I would urge him to see a urologist if he's concerned about erectile or arousal problems. He may be uneasy about seeing a doctor about this problem, but if there is a problem having it diagnosed and taken care of now would be a lot better than struggling with it for years! It may be a physical problem that needs to be addressed, there are a lot of causes for ED/erectile/arousal problems.

I'm not sure there's a problem at all. From what I understand, he's still getting good erections.....

Tell me, if he hadn't said anything about the quality of his erections - would you have noticed?

Also, he's concerned that he's not as horny as he was at, say, 18? Hon, NOBODY is as horny as an 18yo guy LOL.
