Welcome to the board, Dalejr8girl ~

I'm not clear, you're the mom and your son's ex-girlfriend continues to call?

Assuming much about the situation, I'm going to assume it's somewhat like "the ex that wouldn't go away" that my son encountered a couple of years ago (when he was 16). Finally, she called, I answered, and I said to her, "Sweetie, it's over, you need to let it go." "Oh no," she said, "I'm just calling as a friend." To which I replied, "Well then, Sweetie, you need to find another friend.", and she never called again.

There is really not enough info in the OP's post (as she said, she's just venting), but the tone and style of her post read completely differently to me. I thought she was the wife/girlfriend, complaining that her SO's ex, who is also the mother of his son, was calling and interfering in their relationship. It's interesting how different a post can seem to different people.

If, as I understand your scant information, she is the mother and he is the father of their child, then she's going to be calling babydaddy til the child is grown and out of school.

I agree, it is interesting how many ways a post can be taken, and the importance of details and explanation is illustrated quite clearly here! You, Quenek and I all read it very differently. That just goes to show how far off assumptions can be. At least two of our assumptions are wrong here, maybe all three!

I hope she comes back to clear it up!
