I do think that a lot of your problems are caused because you did rush into things.

Normally I suggest dating at least 2 years (even 3!) to let the newness wear off so you can see if you two really have what it makes. You know get to the real person and you've seen them under many seasons and stressful situations.

I'd just have a honest heart to heart with him. Ask him what you can do as a team to get it back. How to improve. What each would like the other do to in order to improve the relationship.
