1st custody hearing tomorrow
13

Hello all,
Well tomorrow is the big day. Its the first custody hearing. I hope to God a judge does not give him joint custody as he doesnt even have a job and has 2 other kids he doesnt even live with.

I hope I have everything I need. Should I mention that he has 2 other babies he doesnt live with which should show how irresponsible he is or just leave it alone.

Is there anything else I need as far as preparation?

Wish me luck

Sending positive vibes your way, luv. Maybe he'll bring up the other babies himself and make himself look like an idiot - isn't he trying to get cs reduced?

I just had a funny thought that might give you a giggle. Can you imagine if he was dumb enough to tell the judge that he couldn't afford as much cs because of the other babies and that it's your fault he has the other babies? I can just imagine the judge's reaction to that! Too bad he's likely not dumb enough to try that one, because it would be priceless to see.

LOL, LOL, girl he just might he's so arrogant. PRICELESS to say the least. He took me to court last week for a reduction in his c.s. payment. It was granted as a temporary reduction. Acutally all they did was stop taking out extra for the arrears so they still remain. He was also told to get a job. The jerk said he's in a trade school as if that's supposed to excuse something. He will be in the program until next december. WHAT. Is he crazy. He also said he asked for an extension on his unemployment b/c he's in school.
He's a jerk. It's a shame though. I thought we could have been friends.

@@ Oh, I feel so bad for him, don't you? He can't go to school and work - that's just too difficult, LOL. Well, if he really is in trade school that should mean he'll be looking for employment in a higher paying job when he's done, and then you can get the cs increased. Wonder whether he's thought of that one? I wouldn't bring it up to him - just wait 'til you know he has a job in his field and then suprise HIM with a court date.

Good luck! I just had my first court date the other day. All went well except we couldn't agree on custody. Looks like the judge is going to have to decide.

I'm sure things will go fine for you.

Did he serve you with court papers or did he take you? You said you guys couldnt agree on custody and the judge will have to decide. What were you having problems with. What did the judge say.

Thank you so much. I dont mind if he has joint legal I guess. I mean Ive always told him when something was going on with the baby anyway ya know. I am going to bring my answering machine though that has the message he left on it. If Im allowed to play that for evidence than he will be screwed. In the message he even says how he doesnt believe in the court system and I can keep our son he will just go make another one. I'll definitely let you guys know how it goes.

Thanks again

I also wouldn't bring up the other babies because they may feel that they should lower the cs so he can support them too (even if he isn't).

But then again, since I'm in the beginning of my 1st D, I've never been through it, so I could be wrong. It was just a thought...
