2006 over...may we all have better 2007

Hi everyone,

Although I don't post all the time, I do check the board regularly. 2006 was a tough year for me going through my divorce and I am hoping to be finished with my long divorce process in March. The word "painful" would be an understatement, especially where children are concerned.

I want to thank everyone for your support, and for all the newbies out there I want to wish you the very best this year. Please know you're not alone. This board is a great place to come and vent. I have to believe that we are all given a second chance to go on and make our lives even better than we could have imagined.

MAY WE ALL HAVE A BETTER NEW YEAR...

Thanks Belinda! Wonderful words to have a a great new year and new Rest Of Our Lives!
At least for some of us, even though their is pain in the loss there is also promise to be rid of the verbal, emotional, or physical abuse we suffered.
2007 will be a time to heal and come out of our cocoon of despair and into the sunshine!

Hi Karen, While much of the country is basking in warm weather, we are supposed to get yet another snowstorm this Thursday & Friday, with very cold temperatures. This will be the 4th week in a row we've been hit. They're saying another 6-12 inches in the city. Unbelievable! I'm ready to fly out your way! :)

Amen to a better year in 2007. My resolution is to deal with my ex better and try like hell not to react and fight. He and the gf have been by to pick up and drop off the kids and I've been nice, making sure the kids give them BOTH hugs good-bye and saying good bye to each of them myself and saying thanks. I do it although gf still tries to ignore me.

This year HAS to be better than 2006. That was my year of divorce nightmare and 2007 is the year I really truly move on.

I hope this year is good for all of you as well. For those of you just beginning the process, hang in there. It will get better. :-)

Belinda..

Pianoguy had a tough 2006 too! There were more disappointments (professional as well as personal) than PG wishes to think about!

But the beauty of ANY NEW YEAR is that ALL OF US have the opportunity to make our lives better---assuming that we want to?

Best wishes and warm thoughts...

Melissa,

I live in the very southeast portion of Aurora and work in Aurora, so I feel your pain! Is there anyone we can complain to about this weather? I hope this is not going to go on for another 8 weeks! Oh well, happy new year to you. Belinda

Good for you...take the high road where your children are concerned. I am trying to do that too.

P - Thanks. I hope the new year will be better for you than last. I never thought my divorce would spill into 2007 when it began in 2005. Almost two years out of my life - what a waste! Belinda
