Any Ladies Keeping Your Home?

Just wondering how many of you are planning on keeping the marital home.
How are you going to handle the payments, the up keep, the kids, working?
Our house got listed last week.

My ex signed a quit claim to my house. I have it free and clear (from him). His business and OW was more important to him. That business was kaput after 6 months and he's not with OW any longer. I sit on about 100K + of equity ;)
It's hard and alot of work, but definitely worth it. What you are offering is fair....and not unheard of!! I'd keep trying for that option!!
Good luck!
I refinanced the house in my name and had my husband sign off on the house--was a condition from the mortgage company. At first we thought we'd split the equity, but it didn't quite work like that. I guess the FmHA mortgage we'd gotten 16 yrs ago had some fine print that when you sold/refinanced the house that any payments they'd helped you with (they go by your income for payments until you can handle the full amount on your own) you had to repay it back. So we went in thinking we had $6000 in equity only to find out we were $4000 in the hole. My new mortgage company did talk them into "settling" for the $6000, which means after 16 years in this house I owe exactly what I did when we started out!
That being that, husband just signed off without asking for any equity. The house was appraised for more AFTER the repairs I'm in the process of doing are finished. He's just happy to be off the hook for the mortgage.
Good news though, I did manage to refinance it for 2% less interest

My plan would be to keep the house, primarily for the reason that I don't want to disrupt my daughter in too many ways, all at once.
