I am compiling a CD for myself and want to download some music for myself during this healing time. So far I have Kelly Clarkson, "Since you've been gone" and Natasha Bedingfield, "Unwritten". Any more suggestions?

Thanks!

That is one of my favorites. I also really like Merideth Brooks "B*tch". Sorry, not trying to offend anyone, that's the name of the song. Or if you like country Montgomery Gentry "Gone".

Landed by Ben Folds is a very healing song for me and I think you will understand it too Beanie. In it he talks about how he always thought he was crazy, but really it was is ex.

my favorite subject... music... i have tons of songs in my iPod... some sad, some inspiring, and some just plain old p****d off...i tend to lean more towards harder tunes but this list is a variety... LOL

"Passive" - A Perfect Circle (Parental Advisory)
"Shed My Skin" - Alter Bridge (the replacement band for Creed)
"A Different Kind of Pain" - Cold
"The River" - Live
"All Because of You" - Saliva (Parental Advisory)
"Let Me Go" - Tonic
"Evaporate" - Ben Folds Five - older album before he went out on his own
"That Particular Time" and "You Owe Me Nothing in Return" - Alanis Morrissette

Fiona Apple is also good--"Limp" and especially "Sleep to Dream"

"I got my feet on the ground and I don’t go to sleep to dream.
You got your head in the clouds and you’re not at all what you seem.
This mind, this body, and this voice cannot be stifled by your deviant ways.
So don’t forget what I told you, don’t come around, I got my own hell to raise."

And Fallen by Sarah M.

Sounds like a fun project, let us know how it turns out!

Definitely insane but soooo awesome!! Music to me has always had the ability to lift me up, motivate me, make me cry, etc... i'm not in the least musical myself but i love it... in college i studied to classical music... i can listen to just about anything!! (except hard core rap...)... i have everything from country, jazz, metal(hard!), and alternative on my Nano... took me forever to load my CDs as well... but it's definitely worth it... i tend to buy CDs for one song... so iTunes Music Store is great!! sorry all... don't mean to be an iPod "commercial"...

thought of some more songs....

"Say Goodbye" - Theory of a Deadman
"Anything But Ordinary" - Avril Lavigne (i know, i know... i'm 36 not 16 but it's a great song!)
"You're Beautiful" - James Blunt (parental advisory - AWESOME SONG tho!!)
"Criminal" - Fiona Apple
"Flagpole Sitta" - Harvey Danger - old but FUN - the song makes NO SENSE.... but sometimes it doesn't have to....
"Fighter" - Christina Aguilera

have fun!!

There's another site to get music from. It's called allofmp3.com and it's not as extensive as itunes, but they still have quite a bit, and they are super cheap. You can get whole albums for like $2.00 or close to it on some of the older ones. Check it out!
