Argh!!!

I'm annoyed as hell right now. My stbx came to drop off the kids from their night out. He and his gf were walking out to their car and I called him back saying I needed to talk to him for a minute. (It has to do with after school childcare for our daughter when the new school year begins.) What annoyed me is that his gf followed him back up to the door and stood there the entire time we were talking, listening in. Why would she follow him back? And once she realized we were discussing something that does not concern her, why wouldn't she walk back to the flipping car and stay there?

ARGH I say again!

Cause she can??? LOL Not funny really. Very annoying. However, she is jealous or she could let "her man" do what he needs to do for his kids without her assistance. It's her problem. Don't let her make it yours. Since you went ahead and did what needed to be done, well done! You didn't let her make her problem into your problem.

I agree with Steph... she's insecure, and if tagging along is what she needs to feel secure, then let her stand there and look like a total bimbo :-)

I'm sure you're right, Steph, it's just annoying. Basically I took the route of completely ignoring her while she stood there, but felt like it was none of her business and that what he and I discuss about the kids is private. I just didn't want to start anything by telling her that this was a private conversation and could she please go wait in the car.

And I don't blame her for being a little insecure. Her "man" still slips and calls me honey fairly often, many times while on the phone while she is within earshot. This morning he called me "baby" which is hilarious because he has never called me that. It's definitely a pet name for her. It's horrible and childish of me, but I can't help but find it funny that he does that.
