Uggggg I still have to get started. My ex bought them all L.L. Bean book bags with their name on them and some school supplies. They need EVERYTHING! Luckily my yearly retention bonus is coming!!!!!!!

My teen daughter needs new bras too so I'm watching the sales. We have a Khole's up here which has great deals on them. She actually bought some jeans there for $11 a piece.

I can't WAIT for school to start!!! It won't be soon enough (next Wednesday for us) but I think all the school supplies have been acquired. My Mom gave the lists to XH and just said "Here are the lists of what the girls need so you can go shopping this weekend." And he actually got everything! I'm in shock.

I spent ALL DAY Saturday at school helping to clean the building. I cleaned carpets for over 8 hours, getting physically sick every time I saw the BLACK water coming out of the carpet cleaner.

Is there any better time than the start of school after the long summer?????

It amazes me that parents have to help clean the schools!

I have wanted to school to go back into session since the last day of school in June. Because this summer has been awful thus far with DD going to her dad's every other week. Hopefully she will get back into routine when school starts.

Our school starts the day after labor day. I still have to take her school shopping but just like I did last year I will buy her everything. XH normally buys her an very very expensive tennis shoe. WHY?! She is 6yrs old. Then in January he buys her another pair of really expensive shoes WHY?! Whatever but that is his way of "buying her school supplies."

What really gets me is our DD is 6yr and is starting to be a girl with the cloggers with her skirts and/or jeans to be in style she hardly ever wears tennis shoes. Whatever - I am selling them in my garage sale at the end of the month. Only because she has had a growth spurt and does not fit into them. Practically brand new.

Can;t wait for my baby to be back home!!!

Mine starts the 1st grade in September. I have been hunting for all the supplies on the teacher's list and almost have it complete. The price has got to be somewhere like 200 for the whole lot by now.

I bought shoes the end of last winter, and to wear for this winter. They had more than half off boots so I bought two sizes bigger. Luckily it is precisely the size he is now and actually slightly big. That is perfect to get him through this winter. I find buying the next years clothes at the end of the current years season can save a lot of money. You can get those designer type clothes without paying the price then. He has a whole drawer of jeans now bought at a good price, along with several slacks. I also find that buying clothes considerably bigger help make them last. I bought several wool sweaters last year at two sizes bigger and just rolled the sleeves up. Now he fits them fine for a second season. It's just another way to buy good high quality clothes and get the money worth. Nothing beats a good wool sweater in winter. Though you must wear something underneath because they tend to be a bit itchy.

My DS starts middle school on 08/30, and I'm nervous! I'm sure he'll be fine, but it's a big step into a new school. I just did a small amount of back-to-school clothing shopping, and I got 20% off with my Khol's card! Wooohoo!
