I'm getting divorced, have finally come to terms with the ending of my eight year marriage, and now feel rather adrift.

Do you like to read? Is there a Book Club you can join? If you do crafts or srapbooking, a lot of times those stores will offer classes on the weekends. If you go the gym, try starting a conversation with ladies there. Anything that you have an interest in, someone else will share.

hey, i think the gym is a good place to start. connect with some girls out there but i understand the financial aspect of it as well. Check the paper, see if there is a divorce support group. If you live in a big city

Hey girl. I have been having the same problem. I finally looked up meet groups online in my area and low and behold I have found a single parents meet group, a divorced persons meet group and a meet group for people who like to sing karayoke......I know, I know....I'm one of those people. But, I have found a wonderful group of people that have the same interests as me.

The single parents group and the divorce persons group have been WONDERFUL. They have welcomed me with open arms and totally understand what I'm going through. I found them by looking for them online.

Hope the helps some. Good luck.
