Can anyone tell me about divorce in TN?

Well, I finally did it, my stbx will be served today. Now what? Somehow I failed to ask my attorney what's next and how long it will take. We have 2 kids, so I know about the 90 days, but when does that start? How soon can I expect this to be over, and what's the longest he could drag it out? He does not want the divorce, but I need it to be over ASAP!
Also, I have sued on grounds of irreconcilable differences, but what will it mean legally if he countersues for adultery? I have met someone, but stbx doesn't know about him. STBX and I have been separated since September, and I met my "someone" a couple of months ago. We are not "dating," and nothing "improper" is going on, but we really want to date and are hoping I will soon be free to do so. So, if stbx finds out, what happens? Can he charge me with adultery just for talking on the phone daily? What about occasionally going out? And if he does, what does that really mean? Does that give him a legal edge, or does it just ruin my reputation? LOL!
Thanks for any help y'all can give me! :)

Hi.... I'm in TN and have kids!
The 90 day wait begins after the divorce has been "filed", which is a form that your attorney will file with the court clerk.

Hi Karen, I'm in Cookeville. Thanks for the advice! Do you know anything at all about the adultery bit?
Julie
Ah yes... you did already tell me that.

Karen, he's not the one involved with someone else, I am. Here's what I said in my original post:

I think it still takes 90 days though, b/c a cousin of mine just went through it. Her ex wanted to charge her with adultery but I'm not sure if he did or not.
If my stbx finds out about my "someone" can it affect my status as primary residential parent, or how much child support I get, or how much he gets the kids? Would it mean he'd be entitled to more of our marital property?
When I first left him, I had no plans whatsoever to even look at a man again! I said, "why on earth would I ever want to marry again? Look how miserable I've been for the past 8 years!" Not that I'm wanting to remarry right now or anything, but I wasn't even planning to date; thought it would be just me and the kids forever. This kind of happened out of nowhere. The thought that it will be 3 months or more before we can date publicly drives me crazy!
Thoughts?
Julie
Oh.... sorry ;-)
If you met this guy after you were separated.... and you're just "hanging out as friends".... then I don't think that you have anything to worry about.
