Credit card debt

We're planning on selling the house. After two LARGE loans are paid we will not have any profit from the sale. We have quite a bit of cc debt. I have two cc's in my name alone which I used to buy groceries, gas, etc. and some clothes for me and my son. My husband really didn't know I had these cards until I told him recently. He has two in his name as well. We both wanted to establish credit in our own names as we knew that our split was coming. Now...my cc debt is WAY over the top...like $15,000 worth. Even though they are in my name, I have used them for groceries and household items. We have seperate accounts and he has never bought groceries. How will the debt be divided in our seperation agreement? I know that it varies in each case, but *generally* is it divided evenly between each party?

Hey...

Generally, the debt would be "shared" because you're married.
