My husband and I have been married for a little over 2 years, these past few months we have been down eachothers throats due to financial problems, our two children and our housing situation. He decided that a seperation would be best for right now. So I was sent with our children back to my hometown and he moved to his. It's been a little less than a week and I feel empty. He was my everything and I'm so heartbroken I don't know where to start. I'm so mopey around the house and it kills me to see my babies without their dad.

a separation is not going to resolve the financial issues, unless his intent is to get finances under control during the separation.

Hi,

A separation can give you both a break from the day-to-day tension. However, a separation without a plan will lead to only one place: divorce.

You both should be in marriage counseling - together and separate. You also need financial counseling and I don't mean a credit counselor who will take your money for a "debt consolidation" program. I recommend you find a Dave Ramsey certified financial coach and take advantage of their knowledge.
