Well, STBX's new lawyer sent in the Discoveries and Interrogatories (which were due back to my lawyer at the end of September)... All STBX's talk about his father owning part of the business, and guess what? STBX says he owns 100% of the salvage, U-Haul, and Storage business. Not ONE word about his father/parents owning ANYthing. BUT he also said NOTHING about ME doing the invoices, or running the office... he said, "I run all aspects of the salvage business. I also run the storage rental business." I just called my lawyer and left a message on her machine about STBX's statement... He's never done a single invoice, and doesn't even KNOW the password to use to storage program.

He also claims the 71 Challenger (race car), trailer, and 70 Cuda as business purchases... only worth 15K total... Of course they'd be worth more if he were selling them...

I'm glad he isn't still trying to pretend his Dad owns his business. And since you and he are the owners of the business, it's OK if he claims the cars belong to it, right? At least he isn't trying to say they are separate property belonging only to him.

Anyway, those tangible assets can be valued. He will try to claim a low value, and you and your attorney will claim a high one. It all washes out in the end. GL.

He's not real smart, is he?

Hang in there!

Heck no! LOL And I just added up what I've paid out of my own pocket this year for storage supplies-- we use a lot of paper, envelopes, and ink. So far, I've spent $310.67, and have not been compensated by the business. I emailed our business accountant to let her know that I'VE been paying for stuff, and have been getting the shaft from STBX... I've spent a lot out of pocket in the past, STBX would get the receipts from me, and cut himself a check apparently. So, I'm paying and paying, and getting jerked around by the jerk.

This is stuff that the judges in divorce court have seen 1,000 times over. They will know enough to look at the paperwork more objectively. My ex claimed that his business didn't make anything last year so the judge went by the previous year's income taxes and based settlement on that.
