Yes we did. Only because we are both Catholic and most Catholic churches require you to take a premarital counseling class before you get married. It was pretty intense. About 3 months of counseling sessions--sometimes in a group, sometimes one on one (I was 24 and he 25 at the time). However, I can't say it helped much in the end. We've been divorced for 3 and a half years now. lol.

i just realized something - we DID go thru some kind of pre marital counseling! it should have been a sign to me for what was going to happen later on.
my ex *made* me go to this rabbi's wife to get advice on how to be a good jewish wife (i'll spare y'all the details....). i went because i really wanted the marriage to work etc etc etc.
HE went to some rabbi for a few classes, but he really didn't "NEED" it because HE went to classes before his FIRST wedding. lol.... never mind that his first wedding was 20 years earlier and that it ended in divorce.
i guess i should've realized at that point - HE was NEVER going to 'take lessons' on ANYTHING because HE was fine the way he was, and *I* was the one who needed to get help. yeah, right...
