Both of you need to go see an attorney ASAP!

Tandpandme,

Hi. I really encourage you to call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE (7233). Whether or not your husband raises his hand to you, you are a victim of domestic abuse. You need to know how to deal with it while your living under the same roof and resources for getting away.

It's also a good idea to seek the advice of an experienced divorce attorney. Many attorneys will give a free consultation for 15-60 minutes. Write down your LEGAL questions and take advantage of that time. You may also qualify for Legal Aid. Check the blue pages of your phonebook under United States for Legal Aid.

I'd also encourage you to get in touch with Al-Anon. This is a sister organization for Alcoholics Anonymous. They too can give you tools and information on how to cope with your husband's alcoholic behavior.

Good luck and let us know how you're doing.

Learn to spell. Some commonly misspelled words on this board:

They're = contraction of "they are"; They're going to the store.

In most states you don't have to prove alcohol abuse.

I think your documentation will show that he has a problem with alcohol.
