Divorce while pregnant/ H gambling adict

Looks like after one last fight over his gambling, H has decided to leave me. Our bank account is now in the negative so that's what started the confrontation. We have very young kids and I'm pregnant now, third trimester. Will he be responsible for my hospital bills, we have ins, but can he have me dropped? Also he said he's going to make me leave our home instead of him leaving & he wants custody. I've been a SAHM since we've been M almost 6 yrs, and I can't go to work in my current condition. Is it possible that a judge would make me leave our home instead of him? He's got a long history of DUI and my friend says I can bring that up in court. He had a breathalizer machine attached to his engine & was forced to go to AA meetings with the last one, but that was about 7 yrs ago.

Anyway, I'm just really scared right now because I don't know what's going to happen to me & my kids. It's just not right that he thinks he can take away everything we've worked so hard for just so he can feed his gambling addiction. I'll contact the local legal aid tomorrow, but in the meantime, my kids & I have no income & no way for me to work. This is a horrible feeling

Ditto what musiclover said. I'm pretty sure you cannot legally be dropped while pregnant either. Get to an attorney asap to get everything in order. He's threatening you because he's scared. Don't fall for it. Just protect yourself and you will be fine.

In most states if you are married, assets and debts incurred after the marriage are joint, whether your name is on them or not.

As for his charming ways and legal aid, I strongly encourage you to go and talk to them anyway.
