DIY Divorce?

Hello.. I'm new here. My husband and parted ways in February, althought it was a long time coming. We both agreed on the divorce, and have moved on (we both have new relationships). We agree on everything, the kids, the money, the possessions. I got a DIY divorce book, and we met over dinner to fill out paperwork. He wanted to take it home with him to type up, and of course never got it back to me. I threatened going and getting a lawyer if he didn't do it by X date, and he never did. Problem is, I lost my comfy 40K+ a year job that same week, and affording a lawyer is out of the question at this time. My unemployment is being held up due to some issue with a former employer not paying taxes, so I'm in a huge financial bind. How possible is it to do this on my own? He did say he would give me the book back and let me fill it all out (of course sticking me with the filing fees). UGH! He is not getting a lawyer, and said he will sign everything.. I'm just nervous.
Any advice from those who have DIY?

OK.... call the court clerk and ask what the filing fees are, then, ask your STBX to pay them... or pay half (he's dating, moved on, and should want this divorce to be behind him, too).
Finish filling out the paperwork (some DIY books come with a cd-rom so that you can fill in the info. in a typed document and print it.).
