okay, so here's the deal. STBX and I agreed on an amount of money that he would give me when we get the divorce and that in return, i would sign the title to the house over to him as well as my half of the timeshare. i dont want either. I am trying to get into nursing school and just need enough money for that. The money isnt the concern. I feel like since we have this agreement, i dont see the need for a lawyer. well.....wed. night i went balistic and found on his cell phone bill all these calls to this one particular number and i went crazy calling him and textin g him and demanding answers. well i pissed him off enough that he told me he was geting an attorney and that he suggested i do the same and that things were no longer amicable. well...he had to take me to a dr. appt friday and he said that he was stillwilling to do what we had agreed on, but that he he still has an appt. with an attorney. basically, he threatened me that if i go crazy on his ass again, he isnt going to be nice. my question is should i get a lawyer to protct this agreement or is getting a lawyer only going to cause problems? i dont want to make things messy and i drawn out, but again, i know what i am entitled to and he has a large sum of money in stocks and bonds from his mother inheritance and should things get really bad, im sure i could fight for that money. i guess someone should be on my side if they are going to be on his, but i dont know what getting an attorney is going to do for me.....

Well, that's why I asked- that's completely different than the situation I am experiencing and I would be upset if I was in your position, too.
