Oh it was the cutest thing. The graduation ceremony was today and they went all out. I was a bit worried because I thought I had dressed ds too dressy but Im soo glad I bought what I did because most of the kids were really dressed up. One even had on a tuxedo. Can you imagine, seeing all those little ones so dressed up. They sang songs and got diplomas and even had on a cap. I videotaped it.

His dad showed up. 40 minutes late, (luckily for him they started late)he seems to always be late for things, its been going on for a few years now. Surprisingly he was alone. Hmmmm wonder what happened there. He seemed to be annoyed at something. What irks my nerve is that he was late and he didnt even stay for the whole thing. Then when leaving he asked me to give him a copy of the tape. Hey his loss. It was a wonderful ceremony. Ex has issues to work out I guess but the most important thing is that he showed right.

Today was a great day.

How cute! I really enjoyed Joey's graduation last month... it was a really special event... I'm glad that you were there for your son... and I'm glad that he showed up too, albeit late... better than not at all...

sending lots of hugs to you...

Aw, so cute! I remember my son's preschool graduation like it was yesterday. It's those little things in life that you look back and remember with a smile.

And I'm glad that ex did show up - albeit late. My ex is notorious for doing that, too. Good thing they're got their prompt moms there ;)

My ex was late and/or absent for my kids' entire lives.

isn't it exciting? i used to cry at every one of those silly ceremonies... my son's dad NEVER EVER EVER EVER showed up for ANYTHING at all. he would promise to be there - four YO birthday in school (first 'school' birthday), graduations, first day of first grade, elementry school graduation and so on.

when it was DS's bar mitsva he was so late, that he missed the ceremony (the whole point of the bar mitsva....duh!!!) that we had at the old city in jerusalem, and jut showed up at our house for the brunch.

its their loss, that's all i can say. i feel sorry for the kids who miss their dads, but there is just so much that WE can do...
