Does anyone know what rights I have in knowing my Ex's health issues? He's not telling me the full story and from what I do know it's serious. We have a 5 year old and my concern is that something could happen while he's driving him around or at his home.

He just tells me it's not my problem, but when I piece together the tidbits he give me, it's rather scary and when I mention some of the possibilities he does confirm info I put together. As far as I'm concerned it is my problem since our child is in his care during visitation.

Call your attorney to see what you can do long term, and while you can't live life on the "what if's" (really, anything can happen to any of us at any time), you can most definitely refuse to let him take your child if you suspect something is going on when he picks up your child or you're making a drop off... and technically, regardless of any court order for visitation, if you knowingly let your child enter into a situation that isn't safe (say, he was drunk... or didn't have appropriate child safety seat) you CAN refuse to let him take the child or YOU would be equally as responsible for putting your child in an unsafe position... but you should carefully document this if it happens so that it doesn't come back to bite you later.
