Well, last night was X's first visit with our son. While I was a bit nervous, everything seemed to work out fine. Why didn't he do this 5 months ago I'll never know. So, every Thursday night from 7:15pm to 8:15pm, till the end of the year, the visits will occur(if he is consistant). The supervisor asked if our son was normally quiet; she felt that was a little unusual. He talks my head off but he is very shy around other adults. I had a speech therapist evaluate him and she felt it wasn't a speech problem but psychological (selective mutism). Dylan seemed fine otherwise. I asked him if he wanted to go back next week and he said yes. Although, he was restless when he went to bed, hopefully from excitement not fear. How they will give an abusive, homeless man unsupervised visits will be interesting to see but I'm not going to worry about that till the time come. I always want to hope for the best so please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks.
Donna
