Name 5 things you will do to take care of YOU this weekend. What little things can you do to be gentle to yourself?
Here are mine!
1. I'm taking a solo road trip! My dog is going into the vet to get fixed and I'm having them hold him an extra day so I can go and support a good friend at her wedding. It's about 10 hours driving road trip. So I'm going up on Saturday morning early and spending the night and coming back on Sunday early. I really enjoy road trips! :) I'm going to take a couple of the sound tracks to my favorite musicals tonight and clean out my car and pack some food so I'll be all set to go! Can't wait! :)
2. Tonight I'm going to hang out with my brother. My big brother has been AWESOME through all this divorce messiness. We probably won't do anything crazy - just get some pizza and hang out and play video games or go to a movie or something. We really enjoy each other. Our story is somewhat unique as we are both adotped, but from different biological parents, and yet my family is closer than most BLOOD related families I know. It just goes to prove that blood may be thicker than water, but love is thicker than both. :)
3. I'm going to take a bubble bath once I finally get back to my hotel room after the wedding. :) I'm also bringing my swimsuit for a jacuzzi run (if the place I book has one).
4. I am bringing a dress I feel beautiful in to the wedding to wear. I'm really excited! WHO knows who I'll meet there! ;)
5. I am going to SLEEP once I get in from everything Sunday afternoon!!! It sounds like a little thing, but sleep is VERY precious in my whirlwind lifestyle. I've rented "Nanny McPhee" and "The End of the Spear" to keep me company in case sleep doesn't come easy. :)

Let's see.... FIVE things....
1. I'm having lunch with a girlfriend tomorrow.
2. I'm hanging out with my dad (after lunch)--he's been invited to his buddy's lake house for the buddy's 65th birthday celebration--good food, good company and fun in the sun (jet skis!)
3. I got my hair cut 2 days ago (so it makes it easier to manage which will help my weekend ;-)

1. I'm going bowling with friends tonight. I'm horrible at it, but it's fun!
2. SLEEP! I can sleep in or take a nap when I want to so I will!
3. Go clothes shopping. I really need some summer clothes, so I want to go find a few long, light-weight, flowy skirts.
4. Finish the laundry. I know I will feel better once this mountain is done.
5. Buy a new plant. I LOVE plants and flowers.

wow!! sounds like you have an amazing weekend planned!!
I am just doing the usual ---- but i made sure to get exercise in. i have really come around in my thinking (thank you DR PHIL!!!) and i am really trying to get exercise every day. sometimes i really can't, but i do my best. so far this week - i was able to go to the gym twice, and the pool twice, and today a took an hour-long power walk. also, i have become more careful about the food - i was careful before too, but now even more.
other than that, i have a pile of studying to do, finals are coming up in about a month- yikes!!
