Hi. You know the saying, "You don't know what you've got until it's gone?" Well, that's probably what happened. Your EX thought the grass was greener on the other side of the fence, except he didn't realize it was growing over the septic tank! ;-)


You are correct to keep your distance. You've clearly made a break and as long as you feel that way then you shouldn't entertain any proposals to get back together. It will take time, but your EX will soon start to realize he has to get his life underway again. He can't cry forever.


Good luck to you and keep your focus on taking care of yourself and your son. Your Ex will have to learn to do the same!
