My divorce isn't final - I am a stay-at-home mom - lawyers have told me not to get a job-now they tell me send resumes but don't acccept a job.......well the perfect job has come my way...decent pay (i don't have a college degree - this is probably on the high side for me$ wise), cell phone that can used personally, and flexibility when it comes to leaving for sick kids or school funtions...how badly will this effect child support and alimony

IMHO, i think the long term situation & job stability is more important. Yes, it may decrease your support considerably,

I'm all for listening to one's attorney, but of this job is THAT good, you may not have another chance for a position like it for a long time. It seems like it suits your family and life very well. I would still contact your lawyer about it, but seriously consider taking it.

I agree that if this is a job you think you'll really like, it wouldn't be wise to not accept it, especially if it is something that has long term possibilities.
