Good Books?

Here's a discussion topic that I haven't seen since I've been here. Gee...that would be less than a week...lol. Anyway, does anyone have some good books they'd recommend? Divorce, relationships, self-help, family matters...oh heck...anything!

I've been reading literally dozens of books, but the only thing that comes to mind right now are two titles by Dr. Phil McGraw. Relationship Rescue and Smart Love. They aren't just for those hoping to "fix" a relationship. They also give insight into relationships in general and what women want from a partner. I read another really good one about how the person leaving thinks and how he/she distances him/herself first and makes plans before ever announcing the final intent. Hmmm..I'll have to look it up for anyone who's interested. I really liked it!

I got all my books from the local public library. Just went online, typed in the topic and wahlah...tons of books to reserve. And all for free! :)

I read an incredible book called "Crazy Time" which helped me tremendously. It felt like it was written just for me. The author's last name is Swafford, I think.

Mom's House, Dad's House was my favorite regarding shared parenting.

I read 'Crazy Time', too - very good. The author is Abigail Trafford. I also liked "Mom's House, Dad's House" by Isolina Ricci and "Letting Go: A 12-week Personal Action Program to Overcome a Broken Heart" by Cabot and Wanderer. My Mom gave me, "In the Meantime" by Iyanla Vanzant - but I haven't had time to read it since I've been reading books on Autism Spectrum Disorder. I think my ds is ASD, and since he is having so much trouble lately, that's at the top of my priority list!

One book I read was "the Case against Divorce" it was excellent it was how well meaning friends and family can sometimes push you into getting divorced when you might not really want to take that route. Anyhow it was a great book, I tried to get my ex to read it, when I mailed it to him with a nice card, I had it ripped to pieces and left on my doorstep demanding I divorce him and how he's done everything for me (apparently so since he was cheating) LOL I guess that was a No. ROFL

Anyhow, some other really good books I've read:

All Men are Jerks until Proven Otherwise! (Great dating book when you decide to date again although the title is really kind of misleading it's not a man bashing book)
Mars and Venus Starting Over
Tuesdays with Morrie
THe Four Agreements
The 10 Stupid things women do to screw up their lives
The Wisdom of Florence Scovel Shinn
The World According to Fred Rogers
The Mastery of Love
